Institutional Membership

The Georgia Association of Museums welcomes all types of museums, galleries, historic sites, science centers, government agencies, and associations dedicated to the development and implementation of professional museum practices. Joining as an Institutional Member is an important investment for your museum. It provides career development, skill-building, and professional networking opportunities for staff, volunteers, interns, and board of directors. Dues are prorated according to your museum’s annual operating budget, but all Institutional Members receive immediate access to the following benefits: 

• Eligibility to attend the annual GAM conference at a discounted member rate
• Eligibility to submit nominations to the GAM Awards Committee for consideration at the annual conference awards luncheon
• One vote (per institution) at the annual GAM business meeting
• Access to staff/student conference scholarships
• Free subscription to the quarterly GAM newsletter 
• Opportunities to be featured on GAM social media, quarterly newsletter, and GAM website
• Access to GAM educational programs and workshops for free or at reduced rates
• Opportunities for MUSE (Museum Services Exchange) consultancies
